RWP equestrian helmets are designed and manufactured in Italy, a country renowned for its high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, especially in the equestrian and sports safety sectors. Production follows strict quality and safety standards, using innovative materials and advanced technologies to ensure durability, comfort, and cutting-edge design.
It is advisable to replace the helmet after an impact or a fall. Even if it appears intact on the outside, the impact may have compromised the internal structure, particularly the EPS (expanded polystyrene) foam padding, which is designed to absorb impact energy. After a crash, this absorption capacity may be reduced, making the helmet less effective in the event of another accident. If you are unsure about the extent of the damage, have the helmet evaluated by our experts by contacting customer service.
IMPACT REPLACEMENT PROGRAM
RWP offers a 30% discount on the purchase of a new helmet if yours has been damaged in a fall from a horse within two years of purchase. The accident replacement policy is valid only once per helmet purchased. Contact customer service for more information.
Your safety depends on the condition of your helmet. It is important to regularly check your helmet to ensure it is in good condition. Make sure to periodically inspect for visible signs of damage, such as cracks on the outer shell or separation between different parts of the helmet.
The lifespan of a helmet depends on various deteriorating factors, including temperature fluctuations, exposure to direct sunlight, and frequency of use. Even without impacts or visible damage, it is recommended to replace the helmet approximately every five years from the date of purchase. The aging of materials (such as EPS foam and inner linings) can reduce its protective capacity over time.
You can find the production date inside the helmet—check this information to determine its period of use and plan for a timely replacement.
Regular care and cleaning extend the lifespan of your helmet. Use a damp microfiber cloth for daily cleaning of the shell, avoiding harsh detergents, solvents, or abrasives that could damage the helmet's material. The removable inner padding can be washed with a mild detergent and left to air dry away from heat sources. Do not expose the helmet to direct heat sources (such as radiators or heaters) as heat can compromise the internal materials. Store the helmet in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight to prevent material deterioration. Use the protective bag provided with the helmet to shield it from scratches and dust. Avoid applying stickers, solvents, adhesive labels, or paint.
Our equestrian helmets are certified to EN 1384:2023 standards, ensuring compliance with international safety regulations. These certifications guarantee that the helmet provides adequate protection in the event of an impact.
RWP helmets are designed to ensure your safety and the best comfort. The helmet should fit well without being too tight, it should not move when you shake your head, but it should also not cause discomfort or pressure points. The size of the helmet corresponds not only to the circumference of the head but also to its shape. You can measure using a tailor's tape, placing it over the ears and measuring across the forehead, then indicating the shape of your head as shown in the images.
